BANGKOK, 13 August 2015 – The Government has set up Facilitation Centers for Hajj Pilgrims at four airports in Bangkok and the South, all of which will begin their service on 15 Aug, according to Director-General of the Religious Affairs Department Kritsayaphong Siri.
Mr. Kritsayaphong, who has been appointed chairman of the Hajj Facilitation Sub-committee for the 2015 Pilgrimage said his panel supervises the four Facilitation Centers, which are working in cooperation with the Sheikhul Islam’s Office, the Central Islamic Council of Thailand, the Department of Provincial Administration, the Ministry of Public Health, the Office of the National Security Council, the Royal Thai Police, the Government Public Relations Department, the Department of Civil Aviation, Thai Airways International Public Co, and Airports of Thailand Public Co.
The four centers are located at Songkhla’s Hat Yai Airport, Phuket Airport, Narathiwat Airport, and Suvarnabhumi in Samut Prakan where the center is located on 4th floor, Gate 8.
At each center, officials will check the readiness of Hajj pilgrims’ document, putting the travelers into groups and give them group’s symbol to smoothen their travel.
