Hat Yai seeks popular votes as the world’s most lovable and sustainable city

HATYAI, 26 March 2015 – Songkhla’s Hat Yai Municipality, a big southern city of Thailand, is inviting people to vote for it as the most lovable and sustainable city in the world, by Friday 27th March 2015.

The “We Love Hatyai” campaign is seeking votes to help the city win the People’s Choice Award which is part of the event “Earth Hour City: a Wake Up Call for Cities” organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) – the leading organization in wildlife conservation and protecting endangered species.

Songkhla’s Hat Yai Municipality is one of three cities in Thailand – along with Khon Kaen Municipality and Chumphon’s Mab-ammarit Municipality – which have been selected by the WWF as one of 47 environment-friendly cities in 17 countries around the world.
