The Department of Medical Services (DMS) in Nonthaburi is set to implement artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance data analysis and transmission, aiming to bolster the quality of medical services for the public.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Public Health’s quick win policies, which emphasize improved service delivery.
During his recent visit to the DMS, the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Cholnan Srikaew, underscored the importance of transferring expertise on medicine and medical technology to other agencies. He believes that AI will streamline data processing, fostering better integration between agencies and ultimately leading to more efficient public services.
In a separate development, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning against a certain brand of expired baby formula, which was discovered to be a food fraud.
Dr. Cholnan commented on the delay in the advisory’s release, stressing the urgency of consumer safety. He indicated that an investigation would be initiated to determine the cause of the delay and to ascertain if any negligence occurred. He awaits a comprehensive report on the matter. (NNT)
