BANGKOK – Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister AnutinCharnvirakul said that his ministry is ready to provide medical services, and ensure health care for members of the public during the 2020 holiday season.

Additionally, Minister Anutin said the agency and its partners have organized several campaigns promoting road safety, encouraging bike riders to wear safety helmets, and car drivers to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol.

The Deputy Prime Minister also said there are also other road safety initiatives under the umbrella of the ministry such as programs to run community alcohol checkpoints, and enlist family members to prevent one another from drinking and driving.

It is expected that these initiatives will greatly reduce the number of road accidents and keep the majority of careful motorists safe during the New Year period.
