CHONBURI, 15 September 2015- The Department of Disease Control is introducing HIV-Aids prevention policies in Chonburi Province’s Pattaya, in line with the World Health Organization’s “Getting to Zero” campaign.

Deputy Director-General of the Department of Disease Control Varabhon Bhumiswasdi said the new measures are intended to reduce the number of HIV-Aids patients in the area.

The plan includes the establishment of a health monitoring network by the Office of Disease Prevention and Control 3 Chonburi. The office seeks to control the incidence of HIV-Aids among homosexual males and prostitution service providers and their clients.

She said the office would redesign its service to be more approachable, while promoting the use of condoms and stepping up screening policies for HIV-Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases.
