Health Ministry to pay for all medical bills of bomb victims

BANGKOK, 20 August 2015 -The Ministry of Public Health has reiterated that it will pay for all medical expenses for the Ratchaprasong bomb attack victims.

Deputy Permanent to the Ministry of Public Health Dr. Amnuay Kajina said during a video conference with the Prime Minister Operation Center that his Ministry would take care of all the medical bills for those injured in the blast on Monday.

The Ministry of Public Health has also revealed following the autopsy that the number of people killed in the explosion remains at 20. Of the number 6 are Thais, 5 Malaysians, 5 Chinese nationals, 2 Chinese from Hong Kong, 1 Singaporean, 1 Indonesian and two others whose identities can’t be verified at this point.

10 bodies have already been brought back to their hometowns by family members. 67 people have been injured and are being treated at several hospitals in Bangkok.
