BANGKOK, Thailand – The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast warning of heavy rain in some areas of the Central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the Eastern region, and the South.
Over the next 24 hours, a monsoon trough will pass through the upper Southern region and the Eastern region, connecting to a low-pressure system over the central coast of Vietnam. Moisture brought by the easterly and southeasterly winds from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand will cover the lower Northeastern region, Central Thailand, including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the Eastern region. These conditions are expected to bring heavy rain to some parts of the Central region, Bangkok, and surrounding provinces, the Eastern region, and the South.

In the Andaman Sea, waves are expected to reach 1 meter in height, while the Gulf of Thailand will experience waves lower than 1 meter.
