Heavy rains are still expected in some areas of the eastern and lower southern regions, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff.

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has reported that the northern part of Thailand will experience reduced rainfall, but heavy rains are still expected in some areas of the eastern and lower southern regions, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff.

The TMD’s weather forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand is weakening. Meanwhile, a low-pressure area in upper Vietnam is contributing to reduced rainfall in northern Thailand. However, heavy rains are still expected in some areas of the eastern region, while a convergence of eastern and southwest winds is affecting the lower southern region, causing heavy rainfall in some areas there. Residents in the eastern and southern regions are advised to be cautious of heavy rain and accumulated rainfall, which could lead to flash floods and forest runoff, especially in areas near slopes, waterways, and low-lying regions.

For the upper Andaman Sea, from Ranong province upward, waves are expected to be 1-2 meters high, and over 2 meters in stormy areas. Mariners in these regions should proceed with caution and avoid navigating in stormy areas during this period.
