BANGKOK, 28 August 2014 – The Meteorological Department forecasted that heavy rains are expected throughout 70-80 percent of the country during August 28-30.
During the next two days, a high-intensity monsoon would be passing through the lower northern region as well as the central and eastern regions of Thailand.
Meanwhile, another southwestern monsoon would be covering the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Following these phenomena, Thailand would face heavy rains in many parts of the country.
Bangkok and its suburbs, meanwhile, are set to face cloudy skies and thunderstorms throughout 80 percent of the capital.
Temperatures are expected to hover between 24-25 degrees Celsius at minimum and 32-34 degrees Celsius at maximum. Wind speeds in the southwestern region are expected to reach 10-30 kmph.
