NONTHABURI, 3 September 2015 – The Thai National Herb Expo has received good public feedback, while the event aims to push forward Thai medicine’s popularity in the region and to the global market, says DTAM.
The Thai National Herb Expo, organized by the Department for Development of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (DTAM), begun its 5 day exhibition on Wednesday 2 September at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
The Director-General of the DTAM Thavatchai Kamoltham, stated that the event received good reception from the public, welcoming about 30,000 visitors in the first day.
He said that money circulation from product sales from the 600 booths at the event on Wednesday exceeded 10 million baht. He expects that the total revenue from the five day period will be no less than 100 million baht.
The DTAM Director-General has said that the event will be the stage to broaden the usage of Thai herbs and alternative medicine both in the domestic and international market.
The 12th Thai National Herb Expo features anti-aging, disease preventing herbal products and medicinal services from herbs that are well known in Thailand.
The five day expo will conclude on 6 September 2015.
