Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha received royally-bestowed lanterns and boxes for the royal cremation fire during the royal cremation ceremony for His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at varied spots in Thailand and abroad.

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindrade­bayavarangkun granted an audience with the premier at Amporn Sathan Residential Hall and appointed the premier for the reception of the royally- bestowed lanterns and boxes for use during the royal cremation ceremony at royal crematorium replicas throughout Thailand, and at other locations abroad to synchronize with the royal cremation ceremony in Bangkok.

The premier presided over the reception ceremony.

The royal fire lanterns will be used at royal crematorium replicas in all 76 provinces while the royal fire boxes will be used during the royal cremation ceremony in foreign countries.
