BANGKOK, Thailand – December 4, 2024 – Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the grand opening of the annual “Splendid Flora at Suan Luang Rama IX” event at Ratchamongkol Hall in Suan Luang Rama IX Park, Bangkok. The Princess also chaired the first 2024 Board of Directors Meeting of the Suan Luang Rama IX Foundation at the Chai Chon Building within the park.
Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, along with other high-ranking officials, welcomed the Princess during the ceremony, which marked the start of a spectacular floral exhibition and cultural celebration.
Organized by the Suan Luang Rama IX Foundation and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the event runs from December 1 to 10, 2024, from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily, featuring a variety of activities, including:
– Stunning floral displays and photography opportunities
– Exhibitions honoring His Majesty the King under the theme “72 Years of Benevolent Monarchy: Sustaining Development for the Happiness of the People”
– Special fireworks displays on December 1 and December 10
– Exhibits featuring winter plants from abroad, carnivorous plants, and bamboo
– Competitions showcasing rare and decorative plants
– Traditional cultural performances, outdoor concerts, and live shows
– A floating market, handicrafts, and a vibrant plant and gardening market

20 Baht per person for both Thai and foreign visitors
50 Baht per car
Transportation:
Visitors can take the Yellow Line MRT and get off at Suan Luang Rama IX Station. Those driving can park at Paradise Park or Seacon Square, with free electric minibus shuttle services provided by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
