IEAT road show to Japan focuses on electric vehicles, electronics and steel industry

Veeris Ammarapala, Governor of the IEAT, explained while leading a delegation of developers from 10 industrial estates on an investment promotion road show in Nagoya of Japan between June 26 and 29 that the prefecture was chosen because it is Japan’s third highest capacity industrial city.

The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) expects to attract over 3.7 billion baht in investments through a road show in Japan focusing on electric vehicles, electronics and the steel industry.

Veeris Ammarapala, Governor of the IEAT, explained while leading a delegation of developers from 10 industrial estates on an investment promotion road show in Nagoya of Japan between June 26 and 29 that the prefecture was chosen because it is Japan’s third highest capacity industrial city.



On June 27, the IEAT chief led a seminar titled “Manufacturing Game Changers! It’s Time for Thailand” and gave an address titled “An Update of Investments in Thailand’s Industrial Estates”, presenting an up to date briefing on investment in Thailand’s investment opportunities.

The IEAT focused particularly on S-Curve and New S-Curve industries while in Nagoya, in particular, electrical vehicles, electronics and the steel industry, noting Japan’s expertise in technological innovations.



On June 28, the IEAT delegation visited new operators in the target industries as well as the auto parts sector, meeting with four companies currently with operations in Thai industrial estates. The road show is expected to draw more than 3.7 billion baht in investments to Thailand. (NNT)
