FTI president Jane Namchaisiri said Thai Industries Sentiment Index (TISI) in June has fallen from the previous month to 85.3 from 86.4 in May.

He attributed factors affecting the index to concerns over the domestic economy, decreasing sales orders, and currency fluctuations.

But the TISI outlook for the next three months stood at 99.8, increasing from 98.7 in May.

The increase was partly due to the government’s efforts to tackle labor problems in the fisheries sector.

He also said automobile production in June increased by 18.57 percent compared to the same period last year.

Automobile sales in the country also increased by 9.5 percent compared to the same period last year, due to the government’s stimulus measures, he added.
