Interior Ministry extends school lunch agriculture project

BANGKOK, 21 February 2016 – The Ministry of Interior is working to extend the Agriculture for School Lunch project, to cover all provinces nationwide, as part of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy promotion campaign. 

The Ministry of Interior’s Permanent-Secretary Grisda Boonrat has revealed that the Ministry has appointed all provinces to extend the operation of the Agriculture for School Lunch project, under Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s initiative, as part of the government’s campaign to promote Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.

District chiefs will push forward this campaign in cooperation with local school directors and board, village headsmen, and the related government agencies, to support the school’s plan to extend its Agriculture for School Lunch project, which shall be selected from officials.

Budget to support this campaign can be requested until 31 March 2016 through the committee, with the budget capacity of 100,000 baht per school. The continuous financial support for the next academic years will be instead allocated from the provincial budget.
