KHON KAEN –The Minister of the Interior has asserted action will be taken if any forging of documents is discovered in the process that allowed private use of a public area in Pa Huay Mek of Khon Kaen province, with local residents stating they had filed opposition to the approval.
Chairman of the Community Council of Baan Dong sub district of Khon Kaen province, Paiboon Boonla has confirmed the group filed a petition against KTD Property Development using public land in their area for business purposes. He pointed out the petition was passed onto authorities in the district, at provincial and even ministerial level with no tangible results. He has now presented the letter to Land Department agents investigating the matter as well as the media.
Minister of the Interior, Gen Anupong Paojinda said today a panel of investigators has been sent to the area to look over all documentation and to see whether permission for the company followed due process. He assured the residents that if any failings are found, the permission will be revoked and punitive action will be taken against those involved.
