BANGKOK, Thailand – The Israeli Embassy in Thailand held a memorial ceremony to mark the one-year anniversary of the deadly Hamas attacks on Israel.

The October 7, 2023, assaults resulted in the deaths of over 1,200 innocent civilians, including 41 Thai nationals. Additionally, 31 Thais were taken hostage, with some later released but eight still unaccounted for.

Addressing a gathering of foreign dignitaries, the Israeli community in Thailand, and families of the Thai victims, Israeli Ambassador Orna Sagiv underscored the enduring bond between Israel and Thailand forged in the aftermath of the tragic attacks.
