TEXAS – In a highly anticipated boxing exhibition at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Jake Paul triumphed over legendary former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on November 16. The fight, which was contested over 8 rounds in the heavyweight division, showcased a battle between the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-professional boxer and the 58-year-old Tyson, who returned to the ring after several years of retirement.

Jake Paul, who made his professional debut in 2020, entered the fight with a 10-1 record, having won 7 of those bouts by knockout. His last victory in July 2024 was a spectacular knockout over Mike Perry. Tyson, on the other hand, had a storied career with 50 wins, 44 knockouts, and only 6 losses. Though he retired from professional boxing in 2005, Tyson returned to the ring in 2020 at 54 years old for an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr., which ended in a draw.

In the first round, Tyson, despite his age, was aggressive, but Paul used his quick footwork and left jabs to maintain distance. As the rounds progressed, Tyson’s speed noticeably slowed, and Paul dominated the later rounds. The fight, which featured two-minute rounds, saw Tyson taking an early lead after the first two rounds, but Paul steadily outperformed him, winning the remaining six rounds.

After eight rounds, Paul emerged victorious with a unanimous decision, winning 78-74 on the scorecards. This win marks another milestone in Jake Paul’s boxing career as he continues to make waves in the sport.
