WASHINGTON, D.C., 12 August 2015 – U.S. Secretary of State John F. Kerry sent a letter of felicitation to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand on the auspicious occasion of her 83rd birthday on 12 August 2015.
In his letter, the U.S. Secretary of State extended his warmest congratulations to the Queen and honored her deep compassion for the Thai people and unflagging commitment to the development of Thailand.
“Your work has improved the livelihoods of numerous Thai people and inspired others in Thailand and beyond,” Mr. Kerry wrote in the letter. “I wish you and the Royal Family continued health and happiness on this joyous occasion.”
Thailand and the United States have enjoyed a close friendship for 182 years, working together to promote prosperity and security in Southeast Asia and the world.
The letter of John Kerry reflects his confidence that the partnership of both countries will continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
