Kanchanaburi sends mobile service unit to remote district

KANCHANABURI – Various government and non-profit organizations in Kanchanaburi Province have jointly sent a mobile service unit to Huay Krajao District.

The project’s opening ceremony was chaired by Governor Sak Somboonto. The mobile unit offers a variety of services such as medical checkups and treatments, and a hair cutting service, as well as ID card issuance and legal advice.

The governor handed saplings and different kinds of fish to village heads for use in reforestation and food programs in their communities. He also gave aid money to underprivileged people. Meanwhile, the Provincial Red Cross Chapter offered 200 survival bags to aged villagers.

The mobile service unit is one of the projects run by the Ministry of the Interior to facilitate the day to day needs of residents in remote areas. More than 500 people availed themselves of the services.
