His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Majesty Queen Suthida, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, proceeded to the Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace at 5:22 PM on July 30, 2024. The occasion marked the granting of a royal audience to the diplomatic corps, foreign consuls in Thailand, and representatives of international organizations in Thailand, along with their spouses, to offer their felicitations on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th cycle birthday on July 28, 2024.
His Majesty the King presided over the ceremony at the central hall of the Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall, standing on the “Phra Thaen Ouk Khunnang” in front of the Phuttan Thom Throne, beneath the Grand Nine-tiered White Umbrella.
Following this, His Majesty granted an audience to Lieutenant Colonel Somchai Kanchanamani, Deputy Secretary-General of the Royal Household, who performed the duties of the Chief of the Royal Household, to present Dato’ Jojie Samuel, the Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, who delivered a congratulatory speech.
In response, His Majesty the King addressed the assembled dignitaries.
On this occasion, Their Majesties the King and Queen engaged in cordial conversations with the diplomatic corps, foreign consuls, and representatives of international organizations in Thailand, along with their spouses.
His Majesty the King has continually engaged in fostering diplomatic relations, which forms a fundamental basis for economic and social stability, as well as international cooperation in trade, investment, education, science, technology, and innovation. As the Crown Prince, His Majesty made numerous official visits to various countries, strengthening existing international relations and gaining insights to advance Thailand’s development. Since ascending the throne, His Majesty has continued to engage in foreign affairs, hosting and conversing with foreign heads of state and leaders visiting Thailand, and sending royal messages of congratulations, condolences, and goodwill on various occasions. His Majesty also grants audiences to newly appointed foreign ambassadors to present their credentials.
