KRABI, 20 May 2015 – “Krabi: The City of Beauty and Clean Water” campaign has been officially launched in which electricity and phone cables and transport routes in the province will be rearranged to improve its landscape.

Krabi Governor Songpol Sawastham who launched the campaign on Wednesday said that it would be implemented with the help of Krabi’s Provincial Electricity Authority and related government units.

“It is to boost tourist perception of Krabi as a year-round tourist destination that can be revisited any time of the year. The province has more than the sea to surprise tourists,” said Mr.Songpol.

The campaign is one of the twelve agendas for 2015-2016 the province has set up to push forward its new positioning. Among other agendas is the “One Distirct One Route for Bigger Smiles” project.

All those projects will not only benefit local tourism, he added, but also development of local communities. All sectors in the province have been encouraged to contribute to the improvement of the city’s cleanliness and the control of disease carriers. At the same time, they were told to study self-preparations for natural disasters. These activities will help promote good relationships among officials, local administrators, and the business and civil sectors.

According to the Governor of Krabi, the campaign demonstrated the effort of provincial authorities to take care of public well-beings in line with the government policy to return happiness to the people.
