Lighting project in the South continues

BANGKOK,12 May 2015 – The Independent National Rule of Law Commission (NRLC) receives financial support from the Pierra Maternity & Child Welfare Foundation under the Royal Patronage of HRH the Princess Mother for its “Lighting the Way, Lighting the Mind” scheme, a solar panel-based electricity pole installation project in Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala provinces.

Financial aid amounting to 4,500,000 baht has been given to Banchang Power Co.,Ltd in the name of the Foundation, to cover the cost of 60 electricity poles and CCTV camera installation in the area of five schools and one police station in the provinces mentioned. The scheme is for the benefit and security of Baan Na Ngo Sato School, Baan Na Ngo School, Baan Lue Mu School , 9th branch of Rajprachanukroh School, Piraya Navin Klonghin Wittaya School and Rangae police station.

Dr. Ukrit Mongkolnavin, President of the Executive Committee of the Pierra Maternity & Child Welfare Foundation and President of the Independent National Rule of Law Commission (NRLC), says the project has been undertaken with the objective of reducing the risk of crime in areas where it might have been committed due to poor lighting facilities. It has so far received good feedback from the local people.
