The bodies of 69 year old Naling Luka from Wiang Haeng, Chiang Mai and his daughter, 37 year old Yong Lungnaling were found with wounds on their bodies and faces. Police suspected the daughter’s ex-husband in the murders, a 42 year odl man from Mae Hong Son named Tor, surname unknown.

Mr. Tor told police that he had gotten drunk and went to his ex-wife’s house asking her to marry him again. When she refused he flew in to a rage and attacked her with a knife. Her father attempted to intervene and he knifed him to death as well. He fled and threw the knife into the bushes on the side of the road.

He told police that he had come back to the scene of the crime the next morning as he had pills there to use to kill himself but he couldn’t find them so he fled. Police tracked him down as he attempted to flee Chiang Mai on a bus to Mae Fak and brought him back to Mae Rim to re-enact the crime.
