BANGKOK, Thailand – A 24-year-old man from Nonthaburi filed a police report after his motorcycle was stolen by a woman he met on a dating app. The incident occurred on March 15, when the woman, identified as 23-year-old Phannarai Iamsa-d (or “Jaa”), asked to borrow the man’s red Yamaha Grand Filano motorcycle to attend a job interview at Central Westville.
The man, identified as Pitchakorn Khamtan, said he felt sorry for her and lent her the bike, along with a request to buy some items. However, when he tried to contact her later that evening, she did not answer his calls. Concerned, Pitchakorn went to the police station to file a report. The police contacted Jaa’s father, who said he had not heard from his daughter for some time.
Pitchakorn expressed his frustration, noting that his motorcycle had just been refinanced, and he needed it for work. He urged Jaa to return the bike, stating he felt betrayed after trying to help her.
The police are continuing their investigation and working to locate Jaa to pursue legal action.
