The vibrant and colourful international Mask Festival 2023 is taking place from 17-19 March, 2023, in the Northeast Thailand province of Loei, at Kut Pong Public Park. The event will feature carnival masks from seven Asian countries – China, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea, and Thailand.
Visitors can also see the ‘masks of three ghosts’ performance representing Loei’s identity, these being Phi Ta Khon, Phi Khan Nam, and Phi Bung Tao. There will also be light and sound entertainment, musical fountains, street art, cooking shows, local food to enjoy, handicrafts on sale, and much more. (TAT)
