BANGKOK, 23 July 2014 – A project called Medicine Cupboards for Children in the Southern Border Provinces has been introduced at the Thailand Knowledge Park (TK Park), Central World Plaza in Pathumwan District, Bangkok. Presiding over the opening ceremony of the project on Tuesday (July 22) was Privy Councillor Mr. Kasem Wattanachai.
The project is established under joint efforts by the Pharmaceutical System Research and Development Foundation, the Santisuk Task Force of the Internal Security Operations Command and the First Division of the Royal Guards, to raise funds for the purchase of medicine cupboards and essential medicines for schools located in the three southern border provinces which are being affected by the unrest situation.
The project includes the issuance of manuals in Thai and Malayu languages providing useful recommendations on treatment of local and important illnesses. The Medicine Cupboards for Children in the Southern Border Provinces Project is launched as a tribute to Their Majesties the King and Queen .
