PATTANI, 30 January 2015 – The Internal Security Operation Commands (ISOC) 4th Region has tightened security around the military weapon warehouse following insurgent reports.
ISOC 4th Region Deputy Commander Major General Noppawong Surawichai has instructed military units in the South of Thailand to raise security levels and be prepared for emergency situations as southern insurgency has intensified.
The Major General said militants also took the weapons in the recent attack on law enforcement officers. They would be given to the new generation of militants.
The Military and other security units have been told to reinforce security around weapon warehouses to prevent raids by insurgent groups.
