Prime Minister’s Office Minister Jiraporn Sindhuprai chaired a key workshop in Bangkok today (Aug 14), focusing on revamping the government’s approach to public relations under the National Public Relations Action Plan (2023-2027). During the event at the Mandarin Hotel, attended by Public Relations Department (PRD) Director-General Sudruetai Lertkasem and other high-ranking officials, Jiraporn delivered a keynote speech on the transformative potential of creative communication strategies.
The PM’s Office Minister addressed the new challenges facing the media landscape, particularly those introduced by artificial intelligence and the pervasive impact of social media, which have revolutionized how information is produced and shared. She underscored the necessity for traditional media outlets to evolve, ensuring the accuracy of information and protection against the spread of misinformation.
Emphasizing innovation within the PRD, Jiraporn called for a refocused effort on listening to public feedback and effectively communicating government policies. She stressed the importance of swift and reliable communication, outlining the need for enhanced coordination among all government ministries to promote a unified information dissemination strategy.
Minister Jiraporn also revealed plans by the National Public Relations Committee to enhance radio and television programming, providing the public with more diverse and beneficial content. (NNT)
