Ministry of Public Health increases regional access to medical services

BANGKOK, 8 June 2015 – The Ministry of Public Health has raised the standards of health service regionally and provided fast access to medical treatments for patients.

Deputy Permanent Secretary of Public Health Wachira Pengjan has declared recent expansions of regional health services a success.

He claimed that health services have been established to cater to the needs of people in different communities. Clinics have been set up to help patients suffering from heart, kidney, eye and artery diseases, as well as injuries.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary added that since the introduction of these services, the number of medical staff has increased in various provincial hospitals. Many have also begun to offering chemotherapy to cancer patients, while others have accomplished important surgeries and treated patients with disease complications.
