BANGKOK, 13 July 2015 – The Ministry of Transport has approved a 400-million-baht budget to construct an underpass at Wang Sisub intersection in Mueang district of Uttaradit province, saying the project will reduce road accidents.

Second Vice President of the National Legislative Assembly Peerasak Porchit revealed that public hearings have garnered approval by the locals, and the intersection will be developed into an aesthetically pleasing entrance into the province for tourists. An exhibition hall will be constructed at the intersection to showcase the history of Uttaradit as well as provide a rest stop for motorists.

The project is scheduled to be completed in three years and aspires to be Thailand’s most beautiful intersection.
