BANGKOK, 1 December 2015 – The Transport Ministry held a meeting to map out travel plans for members of the public and tourists during New Year Festival 2016. The meeting was chaired by permanent secretary for transport Chatchai Thipsunawee.
Meanwhile, the Department of Land Transport has responded to the government’s campaign for a “Decade of Road Safety” from 2011 until 2020 by reducing risks of road accidents.
The department has organized an activity called “checking automobiles before use for safety reasons” which offers a free check-up service for 20 auto items and free service for changing motor oil and auto lights. The public can bring their cars to the service centers across the country from December 1 until December 28.
