BANGKOK, 27 April 2015 – More direct flight services between Thailand and Hong Kong are expected, after Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Leung Chun-ying, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, discussed the issue at the Asean Summit in Malaysia.
Government spokesman Yongyuth Mayalarp said the Hong Kong leader agreed with the proposal made by Gen Prayut. Mr Leung said Hong Kong would implement it.
The Thai prime minister also urged Hong Kong to invest in Thailand’s infrastructure projects and import more Thai rice. Mr Leung told Gen Prayut that Thai fruits have become more popular among many people in Hong Kong.
