‘Motor Expo 2023’ concludes with over 50,000 vehicles sold – 38% electric vehicles

A total of 53,248 cars and 7,373 motorcycles were reserved during the event – the top three most booked car brands were HONDA, TOYOTA, and CHANGAN, while CHANGAN, BYD, and AION led in electric vehicle reservations.

The 40th edition of the Motor Expo, a renowned automotive exhibition, has come to a close, setting new records with the sale of over 50,000 vehicles.

Mr. Kwanchai Prapaspong, the event organizer, revealed that the expo witnessed robust sales, with electric vehicles (EVs) gaining significant traction. A total of 53,248 cars and 7,373 motorcycles were reserved during the event.



There was a 22.4% increase in participant engagement compared to the previous year. Notably, 61.6% of the booked cars were conventionally powered, while 38.4% were electric vehicles. The top three most booked car brands were HONDA, TOYOTA, and CHANGAN, while CHANGAN, BYD, and AION led in electric vehicle reservations.

The SUV segment emerged as the most popular, gaining 57.3% of buyer interest, followed by sedans at 18.3%, hatchbacks at 10.4%, pickup trucks at 9.5%, and other categories at 4.5%.



Among motorcycles, the top three brands in the “Buy Motorcycles… Win Big Bikes” campaigns were YAMAHA, LAMBRETTA, and EM.

The financial turnover for the event reached approximately 72 billion baht, drawing a crowd of 1,503,030 attendees.  Furthermore, the Motor Expo Application recorded 46,966 downloads, and 1,091,375 viewers accessed the event through the online platform. (TNA)
