PATTANI, April 2 – A motorcycle bomb wounded two police officers in this violence-plagued province on Tuesday morning.
The bomb was attached to a motorcycle and the incident took place in Yarang district.
Meanwhile, railway officials in the South have tightened security after security agencies warned them to be on alert during the Songkran New Year festival when large numbers of passengers are expected.
Defence volunteers and railway police are assigned to patrol inbound and outbound trains and train stations in the three southern border provinces to prevent possible attacks.
