MUKDAHAN 23 April 2014 — Mukdahan’s Agricultural Association has joined hands with a number of agricultural specialists and academics opening a Farmers Field School in the province.
Governor of Mukdahan Sakolkrit Boonpradit presided over the opening ceremony of the Farmers Field School workshop aimed at providing local farmers with necessary knowledge in effectively growing their crops.
One particularly subject covered in the workshop is how to properly grow rice. That is, how to maximize the gain from the crop and how to effectively make the most of its agricultural aspect in its entirety.
A total of 350 farmers were present during the workshop; local officials hope to train at least 3,700 farmers from the Farmers Field School.
Ms. Rommai Nuanta, a local farmer, eagerly commented that the project and the workshop has been extremely helpful in educating her on how to properly grow her crops — from the sowing of the seeds to the harvesting time.
