SAMUT PRAKAN, Thailand – A 21-year-old man, upset by music playing from a nearby drinking group, confronted them and ended up being beaten in retaliation, January 26.

The incident also involved Sai, 35, who had a swollen right eyebrow and abrasions on his left hand but declined hospital treatment. He told the police that Chinawat, whom he didn’t know, approached and punched him over the music.

Ms. Kluay, 24, a friend of Chinawat, explained that he had been irritated by the music and confronted Sai, pushing him down. After the initial altercation, Sai reportedly called others for retaliation.
