The NACC secretary-general Niwatchai Kasemmongkol said the NACC committee agreed unanimously to file a lawsuit against former director of the CIFS and the agency in the procurement of GT 200 and Alpha 6 bomb detectors during 2007-2009.

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) will file a lawsuit against Khunying Porntip Rojanasunanand, former director of the Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS) in relation to the procurement of GT 200 fake bomb detectors.

The NACC secretary-general Niwatchai Kasemmongkol said the NACC committee agreed unanimously to file a lawsuit against former director of the CIFS and the agency in the procurement of GT 200 and Alpha 6 bomb detectors during 2007-2009.

Earlier, the NACC submitted to case to the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) and set up a joint committee to consider proceeding with legal action but the committee could not reach a conclusion.

The NACC later decided to indict Khunying Pornthip, saying it would take a legal action, based on sufficient evidence and facts.

It will take the NACC about two weeks to finish the draft and file the lawsuit against her and the CIFS, said the NACC secretary-general. (TNA)
