Naha Airport closes after Typhoon Noguri hits Okinawa, Thai Embassy in Tokyo warns against traveling there

BANGKOK, 8 July 2014  — The Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo said that the Okinawa Prefecture has announced the closure of Naha Airport after Typhoon Noguri hit the island of Okinawa, Japan. It also warned Thai nationals in Japan against traveling to Okinawa Prefecture during the next few days.

Besides the closure of Naha Airport there has been cancelling of ship transports to islands in Okinawa Prefecture. However, Narita, Haneda, and Kansai Airports are still open.
