Nakhon Ratchasima to propose various projects at mobile cabinet meeting

NAKHON RATCHASIMA, 29 Juy 2012  – Mr. Chuan Sirinantporn, governor of Nakhon Ratchasima, has made public that the province is preparing to propose a number of projects to the sixth mobile cabinet meeting, slated for July 29 to 30 in Surin. The proposals have been separated into two sets. The first set is for urgent projects, and includes the improvement and construction of various roads, to help solve the transport problem of agricultural produce.

The projects in this group also call for repairs of the surface of eight roads that have been damaged by flooding. All the projects will be executed immediately following approval, with a budget of 100 million THB.

The second set of projects involves long-term improvements of the province requiring a total budget of 60 billion THB. It includes projects to improve the problem of water management at various dams and reservoirs in the province.

The governor also revealed that the private sector has a number of projects to be forwarded to the Cabinet as well. The projects will address problems arising from an expansion of urban communities. Among them are the construction of intercity roads linking various districts and road detours to avoid congestion in town centers.
