Nan Province to hold Thai Heritage Conservation Day activity during 2-6 Apr

NAN, 6 March 2015 – Nan Province is to hold an event to mark the Thai Heritage Conservation Day under the concept “Bringing Ethnics Together for ASEAN Prosperity”. It is also held in honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the occasion of her 5th Cycle Birthday Anniversary.

The Governor of Nan said that the event is aimed at promoting public unity amidst ethnic diversities for better mutual understanding and integrity. It is also an opportunity for people of all ages to participate in religious and cultural activities which can help stimulate the local economy of Nan through cultural tourism and trading of OTOP products.

There will be a wide range of activities in the event, for example, food offering to Buddhist monks, Summer Monk and Novice Ordination, trading of native products made by ethnic groups, cooking demonstration on native cuisine and performances as well as a light and sound show entitled “Bringing Nan Heritage to ASEAN”.

People are invited to attend the event during 2-6 April 2015 at Kuang Mueng Nan and the provincial museum.
