NCPO strictly prohibits anti-coup rallies

BANGKOK 25 May 2014 – The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) warns the general public not to protest against officers, saying they cannot file a claim for injury.

NCPO deputy spokesman Col.Winthai Suwaree said officers might have to strictly enforce laws to deal with clashes. He stressed that military and police officers performed their duties under the martial law and orders of the NCPO in all areas across the country.

Col.Winthai stated further that the council urged people to warn one another not to participate in anti-power seizure protests for their own safety and peace of the country.
