BANGKOK, 8 October 2013 – The National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand is organizing an event for the 48th Annual Disabled Day on November 9th, 2013 at Suan Amporn Garden, where Gaew Galya flower products in various forms will be for sale. The proceeds will go toward occupational promotion and development of people with disabilities.
The Gaew Galya flower products to be on sale at the event include a single flower at 20 baht each, pen at 30 baht, notebook at 45 baht, pot basket or vase arrangement range from 120-1,200 baht, phan poom between 1,500-2,500 baht, and printed fabrics at 220-290 baht/meter.
Gaew Galya flowers are artificial flowers handmade by people with disabilities, on which Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra graciously bestowed the name as a symbol of people with disabilities.
