BANGKOK, 3 May 2015 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn yesterday (May 2) granted an audience to 1,168 military and police officers who have been promoted to the rank of general in 2014 and 2015, to witness their taking oath of allegiance at the New Building in Amporn Garden, Bangkok.
The new generals include 1,043 officers from the three armed forces and 125 Police officers. His Royal Highness on this occasion reminded them of the significance of the ceremony and their duties which would have direct results to the stability of the country. The Crown Prince also cited His Majesty the King’s speech once given to new generals that their promotion to the rank signified higher responsibilities. If they did well in their duties, the good results yielded would have higher impact than those of their subordinates. But if they didn’t, the bad results would also impact a wider scale of the society.
His Royal Highness urged the new generals to think over the royal advice and commit their duties with energy and honesty as they had already pledged so that prosperity, stability and happiness would truly come to the nation and the people.
