BANGKOK, Dec 1 — The new president of MCOT Public Company Limited, Thailand’s media conglomerate, began work for the first day today.
Siwaporn Chomsuwan arrived at MCOT this morning, paying respect, according to Thai beliefs and customs, to sacred entities and objects for successful leadership and then presented new policies to the organisation’s executives.
The new president also met MCOT employees on the first day in office.
The MCOT board, chaired by Tevin Vongvanich, agreed Tuesday to the Mr Siwaporn’s appointment as MCOT president.
Mr Siwaporn was former chief executive officer of Nation International Edutainment Plc.
He was also managing director of Amarin Book Centre Co.
