Bangkok – The government is keen to establish a new ministry to boost science and innovation research.
Education Minister Udom Kachintorn said Monday that the Ministry of Higher Education, Innovation, Research and Science will enable the country to be developed according to strategies outlined in the 20-year national development blueprint. The ministry will coordinate the efforts of higher educational institutions to carry out research in innovative science for sustainable growth and productivity.
He added the bill governing the establishment of the ministry will be tabled by the lawmakers on February 26.
