PATHUM THANI, 19 June 2015 – Buriram United Club President Newin Chidchob was yesterday arrested and fined for violating traffic code while returning from Bangkok to Buriram on his bike.
The Club President found riding on a cars-only lane on Pathum Thani road while leading a team of big bike riders from the capital. Traffic police pulled them over and informed them of the charge. Images of the episode shortly captured and quickly spread through the social media.
Newin and his entourage paid a fine of 400 baht each. He admired the official making the arrest, saying that all motorists must follow the traffic rules and violators should be punished without exception.
The Club President said when all conform to the regulations and officials strictly perform their duty, Thailand’s road would become more secured for everyone.
