NLA member inaugurates workshop in promotion of “democratic youths”

BANGKOK, 23 April 2015  – The head of the National Legislative Assembly’s (NLA) committee on commerce, industry and labour has spoken in favor of “Democratic Youth” activities and asked youths to adhere to the teaching of His Majesty the King.

General Singsuk Singpai, President of the standing committee on Commerce, Industry and Labour, has organized a workshop promoting youth participation in the drive to create reconciliation and a strong democracy. The workshop, held for the second time this year, is being held between April 21 and 30 at TOT Academy.

Gen. Singsuk spoke favorably of the success of the first workshop, and indicated that the second workshop currently taking place was similarly meant to build on youth’s knowledge on reconciliation and political participation. He said the workshop also sought to give youths the experience of co-existing within a diverse society and instill an attitude of growing up to be complete adults based on the teachings of His Majesty the King.

The NLA member also asked participating youths to help preserve the Thai identity.
