BANGKOK, 3 March 2015 – The National Legislative Assembly has expressed its support to the setting up of the national virtue assembly.
The NLA meeting on Monday, chaired by Tienchay Kiranant, deliberated the study on the setting up of the national virtue assembly and the National Virtue Assembly Act, which was presented by the committee on the reform of ethics and governance.
The draft law, in particular, was already vetted by the NLA Whip.
The NLA members shared opinions on both issues and the chairman of the committee answered all the questions brought up during the deliberation.
At the end of the session, the majority of the NLA members voted to approve the report study while making suggestions for the committee to make some adjustments within seven days, whereas members who wish to add more suggestions were asked to do so within three days.
