BANGKOK, 16 April 2013 -The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that no Thai nationals have been injured or killed in Boston Marathon explosions in the United States.
Following the recent coordinated explosions in Boston, Massachusetts, Foreign Affairs Spokesman Manasvi Srisodapol said at present no Thai citizens have reportedly been injured or killed in the marathon explosions.
The deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon killed 3 and injured at least 144 people. Two explosions went off near the finish line as runners were completing the 26.2 mile run.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will contact the local government to find out whether any Thais are unaccounted for. The Royal Thai Consulate in New York has also asked the Thai community in Massachusetts to check on their family members if they all are safe.
